Petition to Baku, Part I

We’ve got to do something about Torvalpac.
Since getting banned from Baku he’s been wandering the streets of little Philly, sometimes as the Space Marine Tupac (pictured above with Candidate Wei). Other times he calls himself Torvald, and presents as either Hulk Hogan or a small Soviet duck avatar. He seems to randomly flip between the two identities without warning - much like a psychiatric patient off meds. But always, he’s like a lost soul since he’s been cast from his home.
We couldn’t stand by and just watch this young soldier of virtuality wither away in the Baku diaspora. So Wei is going to make a petition to Baku to take him back.
In case you’ve never been there, let me tell you Baku isn’t just any old place in SL. By all rights, one could call it special. If you look beyond the 30 foot flapping penises and the mario spam particle bombs, you can tell its residents tend to be rather smart and creative folks. Plus they seem to have a sense of humor, even if some of it tends to be on the middle school playground level. I’s not every sim that erects a monument to a mouthy ham.
It seems that Torvalpac went apeshit with some gestures and got himself banned. Believe me, I understand the hatred that excessive gestures can incite in an individual. And to make matters worse, according to Baku law gestures are indeed bannable offenses.
Torvalpac tells us that everyone there gestures all the time, and having been there before, I can say he’s not lying. The only reason he thinks he got singled is because he had a “disagreement” (his words) with the main administrator there, some dude named Masa.
There’s plenty of reconnassaince work to be done - we still haven’t gotten to the bottom of this situation. We don’t know what demands these people are likely to make and we don’t know if it’s possible to rehabilitate Torvalpac enough to be welcomed back. But I will say this.
If anyone can get Baku to take Torvalpac back, it’s Romana Wei.
It’s a, ahem, a noble cause. But I think the effort may be something akin to pouring honey on a flea circus.
