You can call me whatever you want, but I always sucked at grand theft auto.
First, I had no idea how to pop the locks without setting off the sprinkler system and the alarm. Then even if I did, how the hell was I gonna jump the starter? I was out of my league.
I thought maybe I’d just wait for the autobus and give the driver some sob story, so I sat down at the bus stop for a spell. But damn that’s one laggy busline, because the sun set over that skyline and not one came. But then, guess who materialized out of thin air?
My very good friends Vanny and Lisa (of our very own Mode Premiere fame) popped into town with all the fanfare you’d expect. You know how Vanny is with those fireworks, always making a commotion wherever she goes. Much to our surprise, one of the locals kindly approached her to inform her about the local gun laws. (I must ask Andromeda Xi if that happens often in the real Mexico City…)
And that Lisa Takao, she’s always dressed to kill. I figured they were on their way to Matatena, the club in Reforma (SLURL) that dude wanted to take me to in my dirty boxers. They sure seemed just as surprised to see me there in my sorry state.
“Myg? Is that you?” Lisa asked, waving red smoke out of her face.
Now, I hadn’t seen Lisa and Vanny in quite some time. Damned time zones were dogging us so we really hadn’t been able to hang out. But I have to say, in this light they didn’t look so good. They were beyond pale–not their usual vibrant lusty selves.
“You guys have been staying in a lot, I take it?” I asked.
I was so happy to see friendly faces, I just started to jabber away about what had happened to me–meeting Andromega on the subway car, finding the bodega, blacking out and waking up on the streets of this place in my underwear. All the while Vanny was muttering under her breath, something barely intelligible about hunting, fresh meat, I don’t know. I figured she was talking about dinner, and I was starved so it sounded good to me. But the more I talked, the more irritated they seemed to get. (I get that a lot, actually…)
Until finally, I guess to shut me up, Lisa just pounced on me and laid me out flat.
Next thing I knew, Vanny had hot-wired the car. They dragged me into the backseat and tore off so fast the street could barely rez quickly enough for Vanny to drive down it.
Well, at least I was getting out of Reforma…

Cool Myg!!! yes I did that, slept many nights on the floor in the “rich” streets of Reforma in SL (Mexico City). Now they turned on a setting on the sim that makes imposible to rezz objects and recently they got lots of publicity on the principal local media channels… Makes me think that this sim is created by the same local media tv channels because there´s now a desk specially designed for a local journalist lady named Denisse Maërker who makes interviews to them broadcasting live in SL and this RL local TV channels at the same time, sometimes I stop there but people gets more annoying each day in that place. And the place is getting full of RL advertising.
Andromeda!!! I’m so happy you came by and saw I’d pulled that little stunt that you thought of! I hope to see you in world again my dear - I’d be happy to go back to Reforma and make a scene with you! <3
