Remember that dream where you’re in the old house and you look out the kitchen window? You’d forgotten the horse in the barn! Did that really happen? It was so long ago. Your father said to take care of her. Has she starved to death? How could you have forgotten? Slowly you approach the painted door.
Write on a scroll what you see and send it to the seven churches: to Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamum, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia and Laodicea.
I am already in the time after time. I am looking back — or out or inside or whatever it is. I am already the horse in the barn, and I want you to know that I am all right. My coat is dappled. My teeth are clean and strong. Take a breath. You were just a child, and others took care of me. That was their job.
There was silence in heaven about the space of half an hour.
Smell my coat. Check my ears. There’s nothing to forgive.

I’m a bad motherfucker
And I just don’t stop.
The nurse came today. The best way to think about the wound, he explained, was as an inter-dimensional portal, a gateway between worlds. No wonder it hurts so much! He rubbed lavender oil around it. On one side the body, on the other everything else!
“Who did these stitches?” he asked, grimacing. The wound is a looking-glass in which we see the other history of our selves, a place where spaceships pass in the night into each other’s futures. His hands were firm and gentle.
So I understood. My glorified body is a body without organs. I am not impermeable. In fact, my permeability is my freedom and my salvation. And conversely, the self is a kind of excretion — like blood, sweat, shit, or semen. Usually, we’re in denial: that’s not me anymore! It was me but now it’s the opposite of me! But the truth — are you still listening? — is that I already was everything outside of me.
“This isn’t some kind of new age bullshit, is it?” I asked.
“No,” said the nurse. “It’s a battle plan.”6 comments
Still don’t know what happened. Was it a fight? Something I said? All I know is that it hurts like hell.
I woke up in the hospital. I don’t trust those Leviathan doctors an inch. That’s not even a real hospital, is it?
I remember a wedding in a small town, my dad slugging it out in the little church graveyard with one of the locals. The grass was tall and dry. Later, he showed me how to throw a punch. “That’s right, Stephen! Give it to ’em good!” He laughed. He was not a hard man.
The difficult part is looking out from the wound. I see you and the others with my body. Why are some wounds harder to erase than others? Is that it? I can change my body at will; why would I let a wound survive?7 comments
If you’re in Los Estados Unidos, we here at MifM would like to wish you a happy and safe day of gorging. (Remember, bingeing was quite Romanesque and we all remember what happened to those fuckers.)
So have a moderate amount of stuffed bird today and enjoy the leftovers!
And those of you who left the computer off today – more power to you!2 comments
Well it wasn’t the same without Esteban, to be sure. Get well soon Esteban! We missed you! But we did rock on, as Monday dictates. Below, some pho-toes of last night’ s winter frolic.
Romana with her Myggles and chimera had us looking all pro in the park.
Cranach shakes her booty and sips on some cocoa!
Dinee proves that kitties do like the water – especially when frozen!
Sexy sisters Sable and Rain on blades.
Even Ben makes it for a late night spin!
I was the dj, sound tracking your ice capade, brothers and sisters. And I sure did have fun.
Thanks for those of you who came out last night to the park. I’m sorry I didn’t get pictures of everybody!
If you missed us, you can still go visit Topgol Park and enjoy the ice! Go here: http://slurl.com/secondlife/Topgol/129/174/55
You can pay Santa a visit while there too! Please ask him for glasses for me…
Come to Topgol for the holidays!7 comments
I woke up in a dream where snow was falling but the leaves were still on the trees. It unsettled me.
DJ kEtChUp is sadly going to miss this one again, given some lame ass “RL” graduate school thingy, but yours truly, DJ reLiSh will be handing you tunes to hit the ice by. And far as I know, we can count on DJ Esteban for tasty funky bits right after my set (which I’ll try not to end on a sleepy downer this time…)
Tonight, we *attempt* to move our anti-Monday jam to Topgol Park! Assuming we can figure out a way to show Sable how to tune into our stream, we’ll be playing the soundtrack to your favorite ice capades fantasy TONIGHT! From 7pm – 9pm SLT.
Meet us there! http://slurl.com/secondlife/Topgol/129/174/554 comments
Though I am not entirely sure of the time, I do know Garrett is planning a set for this evening. My guess is that he’s starting at 6 SLT. (Er, Garrett, feel free to clarify in comments if you’re reading this!) You can know for sure though if you join the Clockwork group. We send out a notice before every set.
If last week is any indication, come ready to dance your ass off.
