But not to watch.
For whatever reason, I can’t bear to watch the debates anymore. I just can’t.

Honestly, I see no reason to watch the debates unless you’re unsure of who you’re going to vote for…and I think most Americans have that figured out already.
I so agree!
What about if you watched the debates with a group of people? We could meet in a Topgol town hall, for the next town hall meeting.
I am sure we could find a streaming audio of the debate and we could critique it live, then technically you wouldn’t have to watch, but you could still keep up with what’s being said. I’ve been finding that during the debates I spend just as much time texting a group of friends on my phone, why not type about it in chat in SL?
Last night’s debate just felt awkward to me for whatever reason. When it was over I didn’t feel like watching any more debates, either. Although they do make for great drinking games: ‘maverick’ ‘my friends’
And besides, if you hear either of them speak on the campaign trail, then you already know what they’re gonna say during the debate, because they keep trying to work in their stump speeches anyway.
I agree…what’s the point. Altho I did watch some videos afterwards. Had to see it to believe it…that McPain called Obama “that one!” Unbelievable!
So yah, I don’t need to watch either.
That One ’08 ftw!
Good idea Wrath! But the thing is, as soon as either one of them starts talking I know what they’re going to say because I’ve followed this election so damned closely. I could debate for them. So I am reduced to squirming in my seat every time something pisses me off, which is every 5 minutes. If I could drink during the debate, I’m sure that would ratchet up the pleasure factor for me ten fold!
Myg, your blog before this one, so so speaks for what I am doing right now as well. I have been an compulsive obsessed maniac when it comes to the presidental election. Huffington Post & Youtube are my daily bread. I am not american, and can’t vote. But goodness people, Obama is the chosen one! I now understand the church going people, who speak in tongues and dance and cheer for their lord, because I feel the exact same way for Barck Obama. He is the Messiah, this country needs. I did watch all 3 debates and it was sickening indeed. But I wanted to see everything. I don’t know if you have seen this awesome music clip, just in case you haven’t , watch it, its so inspiring.
